OUR STORY
Flawless makeup application is all about the brushes. As a makeup artist, I was tired of paying top dollar for sad, skinny, high end and celebrity brands that didn’t perform – or last.
I wondered how hard it could be to design and manufacture a range of durable, hardworking brushes that were also beautiful and affordable.
From scratch.
So, I picked up a pen and started sketching out the best features of the all the brushes I’ve loved and used over the years. Soon I had more than 20 designs and it was time to research and source suppliers who could bring my designs to life.
Like Cinderella’s prince, I knew I wouldn’t rest until I’d found the perfect fit. My wish list was uncompromising, and I tried and tested many, many prototypes. Friends, family and clients became my guinea pigs. (I even tested the brushes on my cat – my harshest and most important critic 😊)
And now, here we are. We have the MakeUp Worx range phase 1, with phases 2 and 3 already in the pipeline.
Turns out it is possible, with a lot of patience and perseverance, to create top quality makeup brushes without hype or a hefty price tag.
Our mission now is to make our premium, affordable brushes available to everyone who loves makeup and appreciates beautiful quality!
